Hi Barracudas,

We are so excited to kick off the 2026 summer swim season in less than 2 weeks!! This email covers several important details and steps. PLEASE READ THIS EMAIL IN ITS ENTIRETY.

First practice is Monday, 5/18!

4:00 - 4:45 p.m.: Ages 7&8
4:45 - 5:30 p.m.: Ages 9&10

Keep in mind, May 18-21, the pool is only open for swim team. Parents and non- swim team siblings will not be allowed on the pool deck or in the pool on these days. We know school schedules and spring sports will still be wrapping up - don't stress if you can’t make it the first week. The water will be cold, so please prepare your kids. Join any days you can; otherwise, we’ll see you Tuesday, May 26! (No practice Saturday or Monday of Memorial Day weekend.) If weather impacts any practice times we will notify you via email and Instagram (be sure to follow @onccbarracudas)

ACTION NEEDED!! SWIMMINGLY REGISTRATION:

This next step can be confusing, but necessary. PLEASE take a moment to register your swimmer(s) into Swimmingly, the app we use to run our meets. If swimmers are not added into Swimmingly, they can NOT be entered into swim meets. Let us know if you have trouble or have questions, follow the steps below:

RETURNING FAMILIES Go HERE for step-by-step instructions to register & sign-up your swimmer(s).

NEW FAMILIES Go HERE for step-by-step instructions to register & sign-up your swimmer(s) using the Club Registration Code. The registration code is 2686fc67-3afc-11eb-83f7-c2b3e1fb23ce You need to complete the "checkout" process, but you will not be charged; that cost is covered in your ONCC registration fee.

RSVP for meets on SWIMTOPIA/ONCC BARRACUDAS Website:
Next to each meet on THIS PAGE please go to the green "Meet Entry" button and commit your swimmer as "attending" or "not attending" for each swim meet. You can also sign up for volunteer shifts on this same page, remember each family is required to fulfill 2 volunteer shifts during the season.

VOLUNTEER SIGN UP AND TRAINING:
Check out volunteer opportunities here. A few roles require a quick online training, but they’re a great way to learn more about the sport. Don't be shy! Please jump in and fill these roles if you can and let us know if you have questions about a particular job.
You can complete the stroke and turn, starter, and referee training here. You can complete timer and scorekeeper training here. Remember, completing the training is required annually, even for returning volunteers.
SWIMSUITS:
Thank you for your patience with the suits. We’re sorry for any sizing issues you may have experienced. If you’re looking to swap or sell within the team, please refer to the google sheet previously shared.

Helpful tips from Agon reps: wearing the suit in the bathtub can help it stretch slightly, and suits should never be put in the dryer.
If you plan to order a suit, you need to order ASAP because they take several weeks to come in. You might need to opt in for the "rush" service to receive it by the first meet. Based on sizing feedback, consider sizing up one size. Order here.

ONCC HAT ORDERS:
If you pre-ordered a hat for the Nashville Dolphins fundraiser, Lauren has them, and we’ll distribute them during the first week of practice. We also have a limited supply of white and green hats still available for purchase for $25. All proceeds go towards our fundraiser for the Nashville Dolphins Special Needs Swim Team.
We know this is a TON of information. Parent Reps will be available for questions at the first practice on Monday May 18th, and again on Tuesday May 26th.
We are excited for a fun season ahead - Go Barracudas!!!!
